Woot! Woot! 5 out of 5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am cheating a little with this post because i have eaten here before and know the rules to achieving the 5 out of 5 experience. While i wasn't able to follow all the rules this time, because i have in the past, i am posting about the 5 out of 5 experience. (read the "overall" section below to see rules). If this seems a bit confusing, it's not, i am just beating around the bush so i don't spoil the review. (spoiler alert) To put it in a nutshell, the fish rocks and everything else sucks about this place, so just get the fish and take it home.

We ordered our food and a pitcher of beer. The waitress came back with a full pitcher and said it was the bottom of the barrel so she would come back with a free half of pitcher of beer once they got the new keg ready. Very nice, but the beer did taste like crap. She did bring us the free half pitcher during our meal and it tasted better.

The food came shortly after. I always seem a little disappointed when i see that this is $13 worth of fish and don't think it will fill me up, but without fail i am always pleasantly surprised. I got my plate of fish, which they pile on top of pickles and bread. This is part of what makes the fish taste so good, i am sure. I actually like to take the fish and eat it with the pickles. Oh yeah, and squeezing pickle juice all over the fish is freaking awesome too!

This fish.. is the best fish you will ever eat, period. The batter is perfect. The fish flakes apart perfectly. It's a meaty fish and always cooked to perfection. PERFECT is the only word to describe the fish from Bee Nebraska. If you talk to Lou he will tell you all about his trials with finding the perfect fish and he said while it may cost him more, the Cod from Halland is the perfect storm. Don't let him fool you, he sure does pass that cost right on down to you.

So in short, the place is a complete dive, the staff usually isn't the friendliest, (although this time she was extremely friendly and generous), the rest of the food is awful, you might be breathing in mold spores as you wait for your food, but they still have the worlds best fish fry in all the land.

Overall:
Well not only is HungryHolly back, but she has given away her first 5 out of 5 HungryHollys. There are a few rules though, that you MUST follow for you to get the 5 out of 5 HungryHolly experience with this place. If you do not follow the advice as follows, then your experience most definitely will not be a 5 out of 5.

1) Order only fish. The fries and coleslaw are not worth it at all. If you insist of the fries, fine then, but don't you dare get the coleslaw.
2.) Get a double, don't want you going hungry.
3.) Get it to go and eat in the comfert of your own home or even a park, or better yet, get extra and share some with HungryHolly.

A very low rating for a place that i frequent and it is due to the Curry Chicken. I'd really give it 1/2 out of 5 HungryHollys. This place does have some good food, but not this. I should have known better than to order Indian food from a Chinese restaurant. The chicken was fatty and cut funny for Curry Chicken (i am use to chunks not slimy slithers). If you order this, make sure to pair it with a gallon of water, because you are going to need it to get through even a portion of this plate. The only thing remotely good about it was the celery was cooked perfectly, but since i had to search for it just so i'd have something to eat, it only gets 1/2 a HungryHolly.

Their Egg Rolls are nummy! Got to love a crispy greasy roll filled with veggies with a side of soy sauce and sweet and sour.

Overall:
This is a good place to eat in Seward, just don't bother with the Curry Chicken. While most of the food i order from here is salty and i am not fond of, i keep trying.  I have found one thing that i love, the szechuan chicken no onions, add broccoli and sometimes mushrooms. They have a lunch buffet daily, so check that out if you get the chance that way you don't waist an entire meal on something you don't like. And eat an egg roll for me, they good ;)

I made the mistake of ordering a plate instead of just the meat. (Plate includes 2 sides) I watched the lady scoop out my potato salad from a cardboard sysco box. For those of you who don't know what sysco is, it is a wholesale food distributor. I am well aware many restaurants use them and provide great food, but at a street festival showcasing award winning BBQ, a person should expect home recipes not wholesale food. It was not good. I am a person who eats everything on her plate, or takes it home to eat it in an hour, but i threw the potato salad and the baked beans away! The beans are not even worth talking about.

The main event... RIBS!!! Yummmy! Now don't get me wrong these were good, but i love any meat smoked or grilled and smothered in bbq sauce, so it's a no brainer that i should love them but love wasn't in the air. They were good.

I tried both of their BBQ Sauces, one was labeled spicy and the other was an original. They were also good, not great, but good. They reminded me of KCs Masterpiece, which is also good. Do you see a theme here? Everything seems to be good, that's not usually a good sign.

Overall:

I <3 love <3 Ribfests of all kinds. It is a little disappointing that our local Ribfest charges a cover and then the venders charge and arm and a leg for the food. I will go back again next year i am sure, but i will not go back to Texas Rib Rangers BBQ. And a word to all the venders at events like this, PLEASE please please only serve your own original food.

Review:
I have always loved Raymono's Pizza so when i seen they had a Groupon i bought the max. I decided to try a pizza I haven't tried yet, the Shrimp Vegetable. It was just okay until i took a sip of my red wine and that is just what this pizza needed. I've never been a person to pair foods, but it is a must with this one.
Regrettably i must report the one unforgivable fact about their pizzas, they use CANNED mushrooms!!!! Honestly, What The Heck?!>!?@#

The bread sticks were good, but not what i expected. If you look at the picture there are four there, but i'd really say that is 3 1/2. Oh well, i don't need the extra carbs anyway.

Wings! Aaaaah sweet wings!  I'm usually not a big breaded wing fan, but these people have spice down to a T so i'm letting that one slide! Their wings are a little fatty as well, but once again the spice is what makes them a winner. Their wings are a spice lovers dream. I once ordered their hot Hot Wings and they actually were HOT. This time i tried the mild and they still were spicy =). Looks like they have the same spice scale as me, but i know most wouldn't agree. I think their mild would be most peoples medium and thus, the medium, must be most peoples hot.

Overall:
This place rocks. If they could give up canned foods for fresh they would slide on up to a full 5 out
of 5 HungryHollys

The Beginning

I found my posting food reviews as my facebook status's and realized that it was consuming my facebook, so the HungryHolly blog is created. I personally love everything about food. I love to try new things, take pictures of great looking sushi, talking about it, and, of course, eating it! I am not a writer so forgive all grammatical errors and just enjoy the great opinions of someone who loves eating!
